متن کاملDesignated magnetic field design for magnetic drug guidance in BNCT
In this paper, a local magnetic field was designed and simulated using a Helmholtz coil along with a ferromagnetic core with an appropriate geometric Structure to concentrate a magnetic flux. This field can be used for magnetic guiding of Boron-borne drugs in BNCT.
متن کاملThe limitations of using vertical cutoff rigidities determined from the IGRF magnetic field models for computing aircraft radiation dose.
Vertical cutoff rigidities derived from the International Geomagnetic Reference Fields (IGRF) are normally used to compute the radiation dose at a specific location and to organize the radiation dose measurements acquired at aircraft altitudes. This paper presents some of the usually ignored limits on the accuracy of the vertical cutoff rigidity models and describes some of the computational ar...
متن کاملEvaluation of candidate geomagnetic field models for the 10th generation of IGRF
The recent satellite magnetic missions, combined with high quality ground observatory measurements, have provided excellent data for main field modelling. Four different groups submitted seven main-field and eight secular-variation candidate models for IGRF-10. These candidate models were evaluated using several different strategies. Comparing models with independent data was found to be diffic...
متن کاملScalable Magnetic Field SLAM in 3D Using Gaussian Process Maps
We present a method for scalable and fully 3D magnetic field simultaneous localisation and mapping (SLAM) using local anomalies in the magnetic field as a source of position information. These anomalies are due to the presence of ferromagnetic material in the structure of buildings and in objects such as furniture. We represent the magnetic field map using a Gaussian process model and take well...
